Superb Currumbin family holiday accommodation can be found here in Tugun at the Golden Riviera Beach Resort. It’s just a three minute drive from the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Currumbin’s major visitor attractions, and a perfect day out for the family.
Since it’s humble beginnings in 1947, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has expanded to include dingoes and koalas, along with a healthy population of salt water crocodiles. Feeding times vary for the various species, but you can count on twice daily visitor feedings of the local lorikeet population, and the melee of fully grown salt water crocodiles at feeding time is impressive.
Once back, the Golden Riviera Beach Resort has a large pool with plenty of loungers and sun umbrellas under which to laze around. Unless of course you haven’t taken to the patrolled beach which is just in front of the resort. The beachfront location is one of the main attractions of this resort. It’s just a thirty second journey across the sandy path.
The use of deck chairs on the beach from the resort is encouraged. There is an ample selection of older deckchairs available for guests to take to the beach. This is ideal for parents taking the kids to the beach. Parents can sit back and enjoy some reading while the kids can play on the fully patrolled stretch of beach.
Tugun is also close to the southern end of the Gold Coast where it borders on NSW. In fact, Tweed Heads is just a twelve minute drive down the coast. You can slip across the border for a day trip or two to one of the many NSW attractions like Byron Bay, or travel to one of the many natural attractions like Mt Warning or visit one of the many national parks in the area.
Why wait, book your Currumbin family holiday accommodation with us the next time you are taking a break on the Gold Coast. There’s plenty to do, or not do, when you stay at the Golden Riviera Beach Resort.
