“I can recommend this property. The apartments are large and very well appointed. we stayed in an apartment in the back of the block to keep the cost down a little but easy access to the beach – a lovely walk through the resort gardens by the pool to resort gate leading to the beach. Good places for eats and drinks nearby – try the good coffee shop across the road or even more amazing the heath food cafe in the BP service station. Most importantly management will do everything to help you enjoy you stay. We really enjoyed this place and will be back.”

“Home away from home, at least for us. This was our second time in Golden Riviera in a short period of time and we loved both experiences. Tugun is a lovely small town, quiet but enough services for everyday living. If you want for more, take a 10 minute bus ride to Coolangatta and you’ll have more shops. Airport is 5 km’s away. Surfer’s Paradise -like tourism is absent, but yet close if for some reason you want it. Resort itself is well maintained, pool is nice. Situated right by the beach, during weekdays there’s practically no one there so you’ll be “owning the beach” by yourself. Apartment was cozy, quiet, well equipped and well worth the money. Even that we live on the other side of the world, we will be back!”

“G’Day Peeps, Every time we came up to Qld to see the kids / grand kids, we used to stay here as a friend of ours used to own a unit here. She has since sold it. Anyway, I said to the Minister of Finances that we were going to stay there again as it really is just so central. You’ve got the beach in front, shops and restaurants all around you, a pub in front of you with a bottle shop and a service station 100 mtrs away.
As for the accommodation. Let me tell you how good the unit was we had for 3 days. It had everything in it that you needed such as a kitchen with plenty of varied utensils and appliances. It even had a juice blender which suited us just fine given that we have a blended juice at home every morning so I was rapped. It catered for washing/ironing / drying your clothes. Two dunnies and showers are standard. Didn’t really matter to us as it was just the wife and I but if your’e looking for somewhere to stay with 2 kiddies, it had a master bedroom / ensuite and another room with 2 singles. I’m sure they cater for larger families, just ask.
The resort has a sensational pool area and also has FREE BBQ’s scattered around with covered seating that we used when the kids / grand kids came to visit. We just got some snags / steaks and salads from the local IGA and had a very nice cheap meal. If you wanted to eat out, there are a heap of restaurants about 200 mtrs away and many more food options. The managers, Paul and his lovely wife are more than accommodating as are the rest of the staff so would I recommend you stay here? Absolutely 100 %. We will be again.”

“We had a terrible let down at other accommodation at Palm Beach (they cancelled our booking by mistake) and was desperately looking for place to stay for the long weekend. We had stayed at Golden Rivierra before and we were delighted they could get us in at the last minute. They could not have been more sympathetic and gave us a great deal instead of taking advantage of our desperation. We got a 2 bedroom apartment with a sea view and a sea breeze. It was clean, and fully equipped. We were able to enjoy the weekend and relax. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool area very clean and welcoming. Plenty of eating places to walk to and the management team were happy to recommend and guide. We will be back. Well done to the team.”

“This was purchased as a travel auction so you never really know what your in for. My family master 18, Miss 17, master 6 my wife, and I really enjoyed our stay total 6 nights. The Golden Riviera is kept really well and it was a pleasure to stay there. The apartments are very clean, fresh, and well-stocked for a family to stay in. The pool and BBQ areas are also very well maintained and we all enjoyed swimming daily in the heated pool (not to hot just enough to take the chill out of the water). Next our the staff, i cant thank them enough for letting us check in early on Friday. The staff were so friendly and welcoming it was a pleasant change from our previous accommodation the week leading up to stay at the Golden Riviera. Tugun where the Riviera is located is a perfect location for families. It is away from the mayhem of Surfers and has everything you can possibly need within walking distance. All being said and done I highly recommend the Golden Riviera.”

“Golden Riviera is right on the beach with convenient cafes and shops nearby, a heated pool that is pleasant year round and plenty of sun lounges, well appointed rooms that are clean and like a home away from home. Handy access to Coolangatta for cinema and boutique shopping, close to Currumbin Creek for paddle-boarding, and right on Tugun Beach. There’s a tavern on site, a surf club close by, lovely cafes and restaurants and a cool bar just around the corner. Would highly recommend.”

“We stayed as a family of four in a beach front 2nd apartment. Was extremely well kept and had a fully appointed kitchen and two good sized bathrooms. Firstly the hot water and the water pressure was out of this world so goo. We had fantastic sea view and I have never slept better, very comfortable bed and listening to the sounds of the waves at night. I have 2 children 4 and 9 and they loved the views and the second bedroom, every night off to sleep without any hassles.
We booked as a large group for a family get together and booked 5 apartments in total and most of us seasoned travelers. All of us raved about the accommodation and the location is just perfect. My parents stay here 5 weeks every year for the past 4 years and will continue to as long as they can. Thanks for your hospitality and thank you for making our stay a memorable one.”

Great friendly couple who run a very tidy clean and comfortable resort. Highly recommend as so close to shops, buses right on the beach, and great cafes. “Stayed at the Golden Riviera Beach Resort in Tugan and had apartment 71 with absolute beachfront views. The apartment is very spaciiius with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. All appliances available for self contained apartment. Wi Fi was excellent and pool was heated. The resort has a gym and barbecue facility. It is located in the heart of Tugan . Planes fly overhead but this did not bother us.
Definitely recommend the beachfront rooms.”

Best of all the resort is located right on the beach and we had spectacular views from our spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Just a note – The resort is in the flight path from the Gold Coast airport but it is not too close and it’s not a busy airport with mostly flights in the middle of the day. It was actually fun watching the different planes fly over”

“We just took the grandkids to the Gold Coast for a tour of the ‘Worlds’ and could not have been more delighted with our stay at Golden Riviera. The accommodation was roomy, comfortable and clean – we also had beautiful sunrise views over the Pacific. The kids loved the heated pool and spa. Also, the Managers were excellent: friendly and responsive to any questions. The hotel is also well located not only to the beach but the airport, highway (no noise from either) as well as having great restaurants, supermarket and surf club nearby. LOVED IT!”

We had a beach front apartment so we were lulled to sleep by the waves every night. The pool and surrounds were cleaned daily. The complex itself is situated in the perfect spot in my opinion as it’s in close proximity to shops and the surf club. We will definitely stay here again when staying in Tugun.”
