Surf World Gold Coast

Take a visit to this unique Gold Coast surf museum and discover fascinating exhibits and displays of surfing memorabilia including surfboards, art, movie posters and historic photos.

The exhibitions include permanent and temporary displays. On permanent exhibition you’ll see over 150 surfboards including boards from different eras of surfing as well as motorized surfboards and other experimental designs. You’ll also view rare memorabilia, surf images and more!

Want more reason to visit this year? In 1914 the legendary Duke Kahanamoku visited Australia and gave surfing demonstration along the East Coast. While it probably wasn’t the first time a surfboard was ridden in Australia, it is general regarded as the starting point for the development of surfing. Making this year – surfing’s 100th birthday in Australia!

Surf World also features a gift shop where you can purchase shirts, books, posters, painting, calendars and DVDs.
